Classroom Rules

1.    Be respectful.

2.    Be silent, unless given permission to speak.

3.    Be seated, unless given permission to get up.

4.    Be prepared and organized with interactive notebook, agenda, and supplies.

Classroom Management Procedures:

I may use any of the following strategies to manage behavior in my classroom:

·         Proximity control (standing near the student)

·         Conduct cut

·         Verbal/ non-verbal warnings

·         Conference with student in private

·         Parent phone calls

·         Change seat

·         Seat student away from others

·         Seat student away from others with an alternative assignment

·         Removal of classroom privileges

·         In class time out/ time out in another room

Rewards and Recognition

·         Praise/ Encouragement

·         Occasional snacks/ candy

·         Group Work

·         Small prizes

·         Positive notes/ stickers  in agenda

·         Positive calls home

·         Stickers on graded assignments

·         Student work proudly displayed

·         Student’s name posted on the board for accomplishments
